BENGALURU: Two college students died on the spot and two others suffered severe injuries after their car crashed into a tree on the Ragihalli forest road near Bannerghatta on the outskirts of Bengaluru. It is alleged that the students were under the influence of alcohol.
The deceased have been identified as Sahahu (28) and Arshu (23). Two other students, Dev Narayan (23) and Sahil (23), were seriously injured and are undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
The four students, all from Kerala, were traveling in a Maruti Swift Dzire car after attending a party the previous night. They had consumed liquor and were driving at high speed when the driver lost control and crashed into a tree. The impact was severe, causing the car to be completely mangled.
The Bannerghatta police visited the spot and are investigating the case.
