BENGALURU: Two college students, who went for a swim in the Suvarnamukhi lake near Bannerghatta, drowned on Sunday morning. The deceased were identified as Deepu (20) and Yogishwaran (20) from Garvebavi Palya near Bommanahalli.
Five students from a college in Hebbagodi had gone to Suvarnamukhi lake for a swim. Among them, Deepu and Yogishwaran didn’t know swimming and were struggling in the water. Despite their friends’ efforts to save them, the two eventually drowned.
The students had jumped into the water without realising its depth, leading to the tragic accident. The entire incident was captured on camera by one of the youths present at the scene.
