BENGALURU: Two police personnel from the same police station in Bengaluru were involved in a brawl three days ago.
Police Sub-Inspector Manjunath and Head Constable Anjanamurthy of Puttenahalli police station got into a fight with each other while talking about a certain case around 6.15 pm on July 16. It is alleged that Head Constable Anjanamurthy used abusive language and attempted to assault Manjunath.
Manjunath, who has a heart ailment, was hospitalised due to shock following the incident. He already has two stents in his heart as he is suffering from a heart problem. Anjanamurthy has been accused of using abusive language and attempting to assault Manjunat.
A case has been registered at the Puttenahalli police station. Deputy Commissioner of Police Lokesh Jagalasar has ordered an investigation into the incident. Preliminary investigation has revealed that both personnel were at fault. The department has taken cognizance of the incident and has suspended both personnel until a departmental inquiry is completed.
