CHIKKAMAGALUR: Two police constables attached to the Mudigere police station were suspended on Tuesday for allegedly assaulting a man.
Manju, a resident of Daradahalli village, was assaulted on the charge of theft. Constables Vasanth and Lohit were suspended and a departmental investigation was ordered against Sub-Inspector Adarsh of Mudigere police station.
Manju’s wife Yashodha complained to Chikkamagalur Superintendent of Police Uma Prashanth following which she ordered the suspension of the two police constables.
