HASSAN: Two nonagenarian women, who were childhood friends and had been out of touch for many years, came face to face at a polling station at Gulagale village in Sakleshpur taluk on Friday.

Janamma (94) and Fathima (92) exchanged smiles and a hug when they came across each other at the polling station. While one of them was leaving after casting her vote, the other was just entering the polling station when they came face to face at the gate.

Family members said Janamma and Fathima had not met each other since the time of their weddings and the two were elated to meet unexpectedly at the polling station.
