Two more arrested in bizman’s contract killing by doctor over loan

BELAGAVI: Two more people have been arrested by the Gokak Town police on Monday for their alleged involvement in the murder of businessman Raju Javara by a doctor.

The arrested have been identified as Moin Patel (24) and Abutala Mulla (21). Both are friends of Shafat Thrasagar. The police have seized the weapon that was used in the crime. With their arrest, the number has risen to five.

The prime accused and friend of Raju Javara, Dr Sachin Shiragavi, had given Rs 50,000 to Shafat as supari to kill Raju as he had asked for the money that he had loaned to be returned. Then, the three shared the money.

Businessman Raju Javara had gone missing since February 10. Later, his body was found dumped in the Ghataprabha right bank canal. The Gokak Town police nabbed the accused after checking the call details.
