DAVANAGERE: Two minors in conflict with the law have been booked under the POCSO Act for allegedly sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl at a village in the taluk on Sunday evening.
The girl was playing in front of her house when the two minors, aged 15 and 17, lured her to their house where they sexually assaulted her. The youths had befriended the girl earlier.
On noticing the girl missing, her mother went looking for her at neighbouring houses when the act was revealed. The Hadadi police took the two youths for medical examination while the girl is being treated at a hospital.
