Two men were arrested for kidnapping a teenage boy in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: The police have arrested two men for kidnapping a 14-year-old boy from his house at Manyata Residency Apartment and demanding Rs 15 lakh in ransom from his parents.

The accused have been identified as Nagesh and Sunil Kumar. They had come for gardening work at the apartment premises. A few days later, when both needed money, they zeroed down on the boy’s house in the apartment complex and collected information about the family from other workers.

The kidnappers entered the house from the basement and abducted the boy in his father’s car when he was asleep. The kidnappers started to threaten the father that they would kill the boy if he did not pay Rs 15 lakh. The scared father gave in and handed over the money.

The Bengaluru police arrested the accused who kidnapped the teenage boy.

The boy’s father later lodged a complaint and within 20 days, the Sampigehalli police arrested the kidnappers. The accused had bought a new bike and a camera with the ransom money.
