BELAGAVI: Two people died after after an unidentified vehicle knocked them down and ran over them on the Halaki-Murgod road near Murgod village in Savadatti taluk on Thursday night.
The deceased were identified as Vishal Lamani (20) and Appu Lamani (23). The two were travelling on a motorcycle when an unidentified vehicle knocked them down and crushed their heads.
The Murgod police, who visited the spot, shifted the bodies to a hospital for autopsy. A case has been registered and the police are on the lookout for the killer vehicle.
