BENGALURU: Two people were injured in a shootout at Seegehalli in KR Puram by unknown miscreants, allegedly for old enmity on Thursday.
The injured were identified as Shivashankar Reddy, a builder, and his driver Ashok Reddy, both residents of Andhra Pradesh. Shivashankar Reddy was involved in many crimes at Madanapalle and he was constructing his own building when assailants came on bikes and shot at them. Both were seriously injured and are being treated at a ity private hospital in the city. The doctors claimed that both were out of danger.
A case has been registered at KR Puram police station, and the police have visited the spot. The police have formed three teams to trace the assailants and further investigation is under way. Whitefield DCP S Girish visited the spot.
