Two injured after electric buggy falls on to railway track at Hubballi station

Two people were injured after the battery-operated buggy fell on to the railway track at the Hubballi railway station.

HUBBALLI: Two train passengers suffered injuries after the electric buggy they were travelling in fell on to the railway track at the Hubballi railway station on Wednesday. The injured Goolappa and Gopal Deshpande were treated at the railway hospital for their injuries.

The incident occurred when the buggy was taking passengers from Platform 1 to Platform 6. The Government Railway Police (GRP) have registerd a case against the buggy driver.

Three people including ticket examiner Nazeer, railway station deputy manager Israel and a police constable on duty at the gate have been placed under suspension for deriliction of duty.
