BENGALURU: Two persons, including a bride-to-be, were killed in a collision between a BBMP truck and a bike at KR Circle on Sunday night. The deceased have been identified as Shilpa and Prashant.
Shilpa hailed from Hindupur in Andhra Pradesh and was living in a PG accommodation in Nagawara. The family was preparing for her wedding, but tragically she died in the accident.
Her father Venkatarama Reddy works as a mason. He has three daughters, two of whom are already married. Shilpa was the youngest daughter and the family had made preparations for her wedding. Venkatarama Reddy had even discussed the wedding plans with Shilpa on Sunday morning, but tragically she died in the evening.
The parents of the deceased have alleged that the truck driver’s negligence was the cause of her death. A case has been registered at the Halasuru traffic police station in this regard.
