Two people drowned in separate cases.

RAICHUR: Two people, including a 10-year-old boy, died after drowning in separate cases in the district on Tuesday.

Hussaini, a resident of Lakkandinni village in Sirwar taluk, had gone for a swim with his friends in a lake as schools are closed for the summer vacation. As he did not know how to swim properly, he drowned ad died. The body was handed over to the family after autospy and a case was registered at the Sirwar police station.

In another incident, 27-year-old Suresh Gouda of Nehal village died after getting stuck in silt in a lake on a farmland near the village. He had gone to the lake along with some relatives and friends. His body was found after a four-hour search and a case has been registered at the Yaragera police station.
