HASSAN: Two groups of youth engaged in a fight, throwing punches and kicking each other, even flashing a sword, after an argument over a trivial issue escalated during a kabaddi tournament at the district stadium here on Friday.
The kabaddi tournament was organised for pre-university college students. After the fight broke out between students of two different colleges, one of the minors, who had kept a sword in his bag, pulled it out and swung it at another minor youth. Luckily, the latter escaped.
The other youths then thrashed the one who was carrying the sword. In a video doing the rounds, the minor is seen fallen on the ground while two others kick him. The injured student has been admitted to hospital. The Extension police visited the spot and registered a case.
