HASSAN, BELAGAVI: A man and a woman who had gone to the polling stations to cast their votes, died in two separate incidents in Hassan and Belagavi on Wednesday.
Jayanna (49), who had gone to cast his vote at a polling station in Belur taluk of Hassan district, died after suffering a cardiac arrest on the premises of the polling station after casting his vote.
In the second incident, a woman Paravva Ishwar Siddhana (68) from Yarazarvi village, who had gone to vote at a the polling booth in Yarazarvi of Saundatti taluk of Belagavi district, collapsed at the polling booth before she could vote and died on the spot.
