BENGALURU: Two people died and three were injured after a car rammed into a parked truck due to thick fog near the Madawara toll plaza on NICE Road early on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Manjunath B S (54), who was seated in the co-driver seat, and the car driver, whose identity was not yet known. Three others — Hemalatha, Kruthika (20) and Prajwal (14) survived with injuries. The occupants of the car were returning home after a trip.
While the truck driver fled after the accident, some locals helped shift the injured to hospital. The Nelamangala police, who have registered a case, are on the lookout for the missing truck driver.
