GADAG: Two bike riders died on the spot after a collision with a concrete‑mixer vehicle near the MGRDPR World University in Gadag. The deceased are 9‑year‑old Manoj Kamatar and 18‑year‑old Anand Warada.
The victims are said to be residents of Nagavi village in Gadag taluk. The accident occurred at the gate of the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Development Panchayat Raj World University near Nagavi on the Gadag‑Honnali State Highway-57.
The duo was travelling from Gadag GIMS to Nagavi village when they collided with an oncoming concrete‑mixer vehicle at high speed. The incident is suspected to have occurred due to the youths’ recklessness.
A case has been registered at the Gadag rural police station.
