CHAMARAJANAGAR: Two people died while one survived after the car they were travelling in plunged into a lake by the roadside in Kollegal taluk late on Wednesday night. The deceased were identified as Surjith (25) of Mysuru and Shubha (21) of Ganangur. Manvith was lucky to survive.
The three were on their way to Male Mahadeshwara Hills in Kollegal taluk when the car plunged into the lake near Kunthur village. It is suspected that the driver may have dozed off behind the wheel. The Mamballi police pulled out the car from the lake with the help of a crane. A case was registered and further investigation is under way.
