Two dead after electric scooter crashes into divider on Outer Ring Road near Hebbal

BENGALURU: Two men died after the electric scooter they were riding crashed into the road divider after the rider lost control on the Outer Ring Road near the Devinagar bus stop in the wee hours on Thursday. They were on their way from BEL Circle towards Hebbal.

Curiously, one of deceased was found with a sharp object tucked in his waist. The Hebbal traffic police rushed to the spot and shifted the two men to the Baptist Hospital where a post-mortem examination was conducted.

Though the identities of the two men were not yet established, it is suspected that they may have been involved in robberies by threatening their victims with the knife. Preliminary investigation revealed that the two were returning after consuming liquor and may have crashed into the road divider after losing control.

The Hebbal traffic police have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
