BENGALURU: Two people died and three others were injured after a house collapsed due to a suspected LPG cylinder blast at Triveni Nagar in KR Pura on Saturday. The explosion damaged nearby houses, shattering windows.
The two deceased were identified as Chandana (22) and Akkayyamma (80), while three others, including Kanchan (44) and Kiran, suffered serious injuries. The blast was so intense that it flattened the house, but surprisingly, the cylinder and stovepipes remained intact, raising suspicions about the cause of the explosion.
Joint Police Commissioner Ramesh Banoth and KR Pura police visited the scene of the explosion. The bomb squad and dog squad officials also examining the scene. The exact cause of the blast is yet to be determined.
