SHIVAMOGGA: A double murder of two men at an under-construction building shocked residents of Kuruvalli in Thirthahalli taluk on Thursday. The murdered duo were construction workers identified as Manjappa (45) and Beerappa (46) hailing from Davanagere. While one was found dead on the roof, another was found inside the building.
The two were working on the construction of the Vishwakarma community hall and are suspected to have been murdered in a drunken state over a financial dispute by smashing their heads with a stone. The community hall was supposed to be inaugurated on May 25.
The police have arrested one Rajanna, who is said to be responsible for the murders. Thirthahalli MLA Araga Jnanendra and Superintendent of Police Mithun Kumar visited the spot.
