The motorcycle crashed into an electrcity pole near the Anepalya bus stop.

BENGALURU: Two brothers, who were speeding on a motorcycle, died after they crashed into an electricity pole near the Anepalya bus stop early on Thursday. The deceased were identified as Sheik Aslam Basheer (24) and Sheik Shakeel Basheer (23), residents of Neelasandra.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Anitha Haddannavar said the accident occurred around 4.30 am and the brothers were not wearing helmets. They were running a hotel business and were at high speed, resulting in the accident, she said.

The two were riding on a motorcycle borrowed from a friend. The bodies were later shifted to the Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital for post-mortem examination. The Ashok Nagar police have registered a case.
