HASSAN: Two teenage brothers drowned in a lake after getting into the water to bathe their sheep at in Javagal in Arasikere taluk. The deceased siblings have been identified as Yasin (15) and Imran (13).
Yasin was studying in 10th standard, while Iman was in 8th standard. Since it was holidays for school, they had gone to Doddakere in Javagal village to wash the sheep they had reared. While washing the sheep, Imran and Yasin accidentally drowned in the lake and died.
With the help of shepherds, locals retrieved the bodies from the lake. The parents, who lost their only two sons, were inconsolable and their cries pierced the sky. Police visited the spot and conducted an inspection. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Javagal police station.
