CHITRADURGA: Two boys staged a kidnap drama to escape doing homework and attending tuitions, at Dharmapura village in Hiriyur taluk. Their story was, however, busted by the Abbinahole police during questioning.

Yashwin Gowda (11) and Jeevan (11) Gowda, who were returning tuition classes on Thursday evening, claimed that four men who came in a Maruti Omni van, had kidnapped them after spraying some chemical on their faces and took them some 10 km away. They said that when they raised alarm, some men on two-wheelers noticed them and the kidnappers abandoned them and fled.

The boys also claimed that the kidnappers were wearing monkey caps and were conversing in Hindi. They even claimed that the kidnappers had actually targeted some other boys, but mistakenly picked them up.After the boys returned home, Jeevan Gowda’s father Thippeswamy and Yashwin Gowda’s father Veerendra Kumar lodged complaints with the Abbinahole police who took up investigation.
