HAVERI: Two boys, who had gone for a swim in a lake at Attigere village in Shiggaon taluk, died after drowning, on Sunday. The deceased were identified as Prajwal Devaramani (15) and Sanath Bhoosareddy 914).
The boys had gone on bicycles and left their clothes and footwear near them by the lakeside before getting into the water. When they did not return, the families and other villagers went in search of them and found the bicycle and their other belongings.
On Monday, the Fire and Emergency Services personnel retrieved the body of Prajwal and a search was on for Sanath. The Shiggaon tahsildar also visited the spot along with the Hulagur police. A case has been registered in this regard.
