Two arrested for sexually assaulting woman in Bengaluru’s Mahadevapura

BENGALURU: A woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by two men near Mahadevapura in the wee hours on Wednesday, police said on Thursday. The woman was going to a hotel for food with her brother when the incident occurred.

Taking swift action, the police arrested the accused. According to the police, the incident occurred in Mahadevapura police station limits on Outer Ring Road, near Laurie Memorial School when two autorickshaw drivers attacked the brother of the woman and allegedly raped her. Both the accused have been arrested and a case has been registered at the Mahadevapura police station.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Whitefield) Shivakumar Gunare said, “Around 1.30 am on April 2, a woman and her brother were going to a hotel for dinner on the outskirts of Mahadevapura on Outer Ring Road, near Laurie Memorial School, when two auto rickshaw drivers attacked the brother of the woman and allegedly raped her. Both accused are been arrested by the police who on the night rounds, A case has been registered at Mahadevapura police station and further investigation is on”. (ANI)
