BENGALURU: The Shankarpuram police have arrested two rowdies who attacked a youth with some sharp weapon for texting one of the accused’s girlfriend. The arrested are Shashank and Nandan.
The accused Shashank was in love with a young woman. Shashank’s friend Harshit Kumar has a flower decoration business near Uma Talkies on Bull Temple Road and he came in contact with Shashank’s girlfriend. After some time, they got to know each other better and became friends, even chatting on the phone.
Shashank noticed this and asked Harshit to hand over his phone to check the messages, but the latter refused. Harshit relented and gave the phone to Shashank after the young woman asked him to do so. When Shashank checked the mobile, he noticed that Harshit had chatted with his girlfriend.
When Shashank learnt abnout their friendship, he and Nandan assaulted Harshit with weapons and were absconding. Harshit was admitted to a hospital and treated. Later, his parents lodged a complaint at Shankarpur police station.
