KARWAR: The Bhatkal police have arrested two people for dumping heaps of of cattle bones and animal waste, atop a hilly area close to Magdoom Colony in the town. The arrested are Mohammed Rayyan aka Mohammed Rizwan of Chavathani Colony and Mohammed Samwan of Magdoom Colony.
The duo would allegedly steal cattle, bring them to Bhatkal where the animals would be killed for meat. They would then dump the bones and other animal waste atop a hilly area near Magdoom Colony on Survey No. 74 which comes under Belne village.
Based on a complaint from the Forest department, the Bhatkal police had formed two teams to investigate the case.
