BIDAR: Twenty one schoolchildren fell ill after consuming midday meals at Nimbur in Humnabad taluk on Friday. They have since been admitted to the government hospital in Humnabad where they are recovering.
The children, from Nimbur and Seetalagera villages, complained of pain in the stomach, vomiting and diarhoea after returning from school. Their parents immediately took them to hospital.
Local MLA Siddu Patil visited the children in hospital to inquire about their health. He directed the officials to send the food samples for testing and to submit a report and also to personally monitor the health of the children.
