Meanwhile, the police continued questioning Pushpa, an associate of Soma, for the second day on Tuesday. The police are probing if Pushpa was involved in honeytrapping as she had several obscene videos with political leaders. She was booked in a dacoity case on September 9, 2023 after a 63-year-old woman was robbed of her gold ornaments. A case was registered at the NEPS police station and the FIR had mentioned her only as a 35-year-old woman.

Gunda, the fourth accused in the case.

Somashekar had received Rs 5 lakh for the hit job last November and in the same month, two youths and a woman had visited the MLC’s house, but could not execute the hit job. In January, another failed bid was carried out and one Gunda had revealed about this to his girlfriend Yashoda, who, in turn, informed Pushpa about a deal for Rs 70 lakh.
