BENGALURU: Popular movie director T S Nagabharana has approached the Karnataka High Court over the formation of the Greater Bengaluru Authority(GBA). A petition has been filed in the High Court challenging the constitutional validity of the formation of the Greater Bengaluru Authority.
The petition was filed by advocate Vivekananda on behalf of director Nagabharana. The petition claimed that the formation of the Greater Bengaluru Authority is a violation of the 74th Constitutional Amendment and sought that it be declared unconstitutional. The petitioner also sought a directive to the State Election Commission to conduct elections to the BBMP.
