HAVERI: A lorry driver was trapped in his vehicle after it collided with another parked lorry on National Highway-48, near Haveri city. The driver, Kumaresh (28), from Tamil Nadu, was on his way to Tamil Nadu when the accident occurred.
The fire department and ambulance crew used cutting equipment to extricate Kumaresh, who was trapped in the lorry’s front section. He was taken to the hospital with severe leg injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.
The incident occurred in Haveri traffic police station limis and an investigation is under way.
