Truck involved in serial accident on Mysuru Road, driver dies in hospital

BENGALURU: A concrete mixer truck lost control and caused a series of accidents on Satellite bus station road early on Saturday morning. The truck, which was heading towards Mysuru, crashed into multiple vehicles, including cars, three autos, a bike and a bus, before coming to a halt.

The accident occurred around 5 am, and the driver, Jagan, was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.

Two others, pedestrian Manoj and auto driver Chand Pasha, were also injured in the accident.  The cause of the accident is suspected to be the driver’s reckless, overspeeding and possibly being under the influence of alcohol.

The front portion of the truck was badly damaged, and the autorickshaw was completely mangled. A case has been registered at the Byatarayanapura traffic police station.
