RAMANAGAR: A multi-axle truck carrying sawdust crashed into a election checkpost and overturned late on Friday night near Koluru village in Channapatna taluk.
The truck was going from Mandya towards Bengaluru when it crashed into a checkpost and overturned. Fortunately, the election staff on duty narrowly escaped a major incident.
The accident occurred as the driver was under the influence of alcohol. A case has been registered at the Channapatna traffic police station and the police have taken the truck driver into custody for questioning.
