Tremors measuring 2.8 on Richter scale recorded in parts of Vijayapura district

VIJAYAPURA: Tremors measuring 2.8 on the Richter Scale were felt Vijayapura district at 10.01 pm on Friday, causing panic among residents. The tremors were recorded on teh BhooKamp app.

The tremors were felt in several areas including Honnutagi, Kavalagi, Kaggod, Madhbavi, and Dyaberi and parts of Tikota taluk. The rumblings were felt in a 12-km radius in rural areas of Vijayapura and Tikota taluks.

This is not the first instance of tremors in the region, as Sindagi town experienced a series of tremors last month. The repeated tremors have raised concerns among locals.
