MADIKERI: Tremors were felt for 2-3 seconds in some villages along the border between Kodagu and Mysuru district at 6.30 am on Friday.
The tremors were felt in Mullusoge, Basavanathooru and surrounding villages in Kushalnagar taluk and Adagur and Kanagalu in Periyapatna taluk.
Locals described the experience as a moving lorry hitting a pothole or water being released from a dam. They said windows of houses rattled and added that they were frightened by the strange sounds coming from the ground.
However, officials denied any such occurance and said the district disaster management authorities too had not recorded any such seismic activity.
