Train passengers from Mysuru assaulted after minor argument breaks out

MYSURU: A group of passengers from Mysuru were attacked by some other passenger over a minor dispute on a train while travelling to Tirupati.

A group of 220 people from Mysuru had set out to Tirupati in a train When the train had stopped at the Pakala station in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh, an argument broke out over someone sitting a laptop which soon escalated. The other group of passengers even called some locals and they assaulted the passengers from Mysuru.

The victims said though they complained to the local police no action was taken. Also, the police there took away their cameras for shooting videos of the attack, they claimed. The victims had now lodged a complaint with the railway police in Mysuru alleging that the attackers were carrying daggers and knives.
