Traffic diversions for PM’s Friday visit

Roads adjacent to the International Airport Road too will be closed for traffic.

BENGALURU: Public movement will be restricted between 8 am and 3 pm on several roads in the city on Friday in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the city. Motorists have been advised to take alternative routes during this time.

The PM will flag off India’s first Vande Bharat train that will run on the Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru route and later inaugurate the 108-foot-tall Statue of Prosperity of Bengaluru founder Nadaprabhu Kempegowda at Kempegowda International Airport. He will also inaugurate Terminal-2 of the airport.

Movement of the public will be restricted at CTO Junction, Police Thimmaiah Junction, on Raj Bhavan Road, Basaveshwara Circle, Palace Road, Race Course Road, Sankey Road, Queen’s Rod, Ballari Road, the airport elevated corridor.

On Seshardi Road, traffic movement will be restricted between Maharani foot overbridge up to the city railway station entrance; on KG Road between Shantala Silks Junction and Mysore Bank Circle; on Vatal Nagaraj Road between Khoday underpass and PAF. All roads adjacent to the international airport road will also be closed to traffic.

Motorists coming from Mysore Bank Circle towards Palace Road are advised to take KG Road, LRDE Circle and onwards; those coming towards Basaveshwara Circle are to take Raj Bhavan Road. Those coming from Trilight Junction through Maurya Junction should take left at Shivananda Circle towards Nehru Circle; those coming from KK Road towards Windsor Manor Circle are to move from Shivananda Circle towards Nehru Circle.

Those coming from BHEL Circle towards Mehkri Circle should proceed towards Sadashivnagar police station, Circle Maramma temple and Margosa Road. Those coming from Bhashyam Circle towards Cauvery Junction should proceed via Malleswaram 18th Cross, Margosa Road. Vehicles coming from Queen’s Circle towards CTO should take Siddalingaiah Circle and RRMR Road. Vehicles going towards Majestic from Balekundri Circle should take Cunningham Road.
