BENGALURU: In the rarest of rare cases, the Wilson Garden traffic police have been able to identify a accident victim whose face was crushed beyond recognition. They even tracked down the killer vehicle and arrested the driver.

Around 11.30 pm on July 16, a tipper truck ran over a man on Marigowda Road in Wilson Garden, leaving the face completely disfigured. The deceased person had no phone or any other document to identify him, making it a huge challenge for the police.

Kumar’s face was completely crushed in the accident.

The police then hit upon an idea. They filled the face with meat and took photographs of the person and went around Wilson Garden traffic police limits. Their efforts finally paid off when they were able to establish the accident victim’s identity as Kumar, a carpenter and resident of Wilson Garden. He was run over by a tipper truck when he was walking home.

Having accomplished one task, the police then set out to identify the killer truck. After poring over tons of CCTV footage, they finally narrowed down on the truck. The killer vehicle was identified by pieces of flesh stuck on the tyres. The police then arrested the truck driver.
