CHIKKABALLAPUR: The Forest Department has restricted entry of visitors at the Ketenahalli Falls after a woman techie slipped and sustained a fractured foot.
Arpitha (41), hailing from Mumbai and working in Bengaluru, had visited the waterfall along with her friends. After playing in the waterfall, she slipped and sustained a fracture while returning through a treacherous track in the forest.
Local youths, along with the ambulance staff, carried her in a stretcher for a distance of 2 km where the ambulance was parked, and she was shifted to a private hospital in Chikkaballapur.
Forest Officer Ramesh told Public TV that they are appealing to visitors not to enter the forest and venture near the waterfall after the techie’s accident. He also said they will be posting forest guards to prevent entry of people.
