BENGALURU: A National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) staffer died and two others were severely injured in a tragic accident on the Electronics City flyover. The deceased has been identified as Manjunath.
A car had broken down on the flyover, and the NHAI staff Satish and Rajanna were trying to tow it away on Saturday night. Meanwhile, a speeding Mahindra Bolero pickup truck crashed into the staffers, hitting Rajanna.
Satish managed to jump aside and escape. Manjunath, who was taking photos of the broken down car, was also hit and died on the spot. The two others are critically injured.
According to the police, the pickup truck overturned due to the impact.
