BENGALURU: A two-and-half-year-old boy, identified as Kartik, died after he fell into a pit dug up for BWSSB work on Magadi Road near Gollarahatti pipeline on Monday.
Kartik was the son of a couple from Uttar Pradesh who had come to Bengaluru for work. The Byadarahalli police have registered an FIR against the BWSSB engineer and contractor concerned for negligence.
The incident has sparked outrage among locals, who demanded stricter safety measures at work sites and residential buildings.
