To protect crops from monkeys, farmer paints his dog to look like a tiger

CHAMARAJANAGAR: Sometimes, it’s not technology, but plain old-fashioned tricks that farmers have to think to protect their crops from the menace of animals such as elephants, monkeys and birds. And this should be only to scare other animals without causing them any harm.

In one such case, a farmer from Hanur taluk in Chamarajanagar district found a unique solution to the monkey menace. He painted his dog to look like a tiger so that it can keep away the simians and thereby save his crops. Photos and videos of the dog are now going viral on social media.

Villagers were also shocked and surprised on seeing the dog painted in stripes.
