BENGALURU: The timings for movement of heavy vehicles is banned in the city on Saturdays from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm and 4.30 pm to 9 pm. On all other six days, it will continue as before.
The new rule came into effect on August 3, and was announced by the Bengaluru Traffic Police after studying the traffic congestion on Saturdays.
However, on other days, the existing timings will continue, with heavy goods vehicles banned from 7 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 10 pm, as per the notification of the Commissioner of Police to enable smooth flow of traffic.
