KARWAR, TUMAKURU: Three youths drowned in separate cases in Karwar and Tumakuru districts.
Two students of the Forestry College at Sirsi drowned in the Bennehole in Sirsi taluk of Uttara Kannada district. A group of students had gone to Bennehole for the weekend. The police, along with expert swimmers had launched a search for the missing youths.
In Tiptur taluk of Tumakuru district,15-year-old Jeevan died after he drowned in a lake at Honnavalli village on Sunday. His body was fished out by the villagers.
Jeevan had gone to the lake with his friends when he drowned. The Honnavalli police visited the spot and have registered a case.
