KOPPAL: Three youths, who were sitting on a railway track and consuming alcohol, were killed after they were run over by a train at Gangavati in the district on Thursday night.
The deceased were identified as Sunil (23) and Venkata Bhimanayaka (20) of Hirejanthakal and Mounesh Pattar (23) of Ilahi Colony in Gangavati.
It is said that the three drunk youths were sleeping on the railway track when the Hubballil-Sindhanur train ran over them. The Gadag Railway Police have registered a case.
