Three students killed in two-wheeler-tipper collision near Devanahalli

CHIKKABALLAPUR: Three students were killed on the spot in horrific accident when their bike collided with a tipper lorry occurred near Agalakoe close to Baichapur in Devanahalli taluk on Saturday.

The students, who were from a private college at Hunasamarenahalli, were heading to Budigere from Devanahalli when the accident occurred. The bike hit a road divider and collided with the oncoming tipper lorry, causing fatal head injuries to the three students.

The tipper driver fled the scene, leaving behind the vehicle. The Devanahalli traffic police arrived at the scene and shifted the bodies to the local hospital for post-mortem examination.

The impact of the accident was so severe that the students’ heads were crushed. One of the victims, Tousif, was a student at the college. The police are investigating the hit-and-run case.
