KOPPAL: Three people belonging to one family died while three others sustained injuries after the Maruti Omni van in which they were travelling collided with a truck near Hebasur in Hubballi on Friday night.
The family was returning to their native Mangalapura in Koppal taluk getting a medical checkup done for a senior member of the family.
The deceased were identified as Jaffersab, his son Mustafa and grandson Shoaid. Jaffesab had suffered a paralytic stroke and they were returning after visiting the Halaga hospital in Karwar when the accident occurred.
The three injured people were shifted to the SDM Hospital in Dharwad for treatment.
