Three more arrested for female foeticide in Mandya

MANDYA: The police have arrested three more accused in connection with female foeticide cases. The police, who had earlier arrested 15 people in connection with the case. With three more arrested, the total number has increased to 18.

The police are continuing their investigation after arresting the kingpins in the case. The arrested are Naveen from Hiremarali village in Pandavapura taluk, Shankar from KR Nagar who was running a scanning centre, and Jabbar a.k.a Babu, from Haralhalli village in Pandavapura.

Cases have been registered against these three at the Melukote, Pandavapura and Bellur police stations. Police also seized a Chevrolet Tavera car, which was used for the crime. The police have intensified their investigation into the case.
