SAMBA (Jammu and Kashmir) : Three people were left injured in a mysterious blast that took place in Khada Madana village under Purmandal block of Sabha district, police said on Monday.
The blast took place at around 8:15 PM. It is suspected that an old rusted shell lying in a field exploded after local farmers set their fields on fire as part of their farming practice.
The injured have been identified as Suriya Bibi (58), wife of Shash Din, Rameet Singh (66), son of Sansar Singh, and Semroo Devi (76), wife of Dharam Chand, all residents of Khada Madhana.

According to the police, the three sustained splinter injuries in the blast and were shifted to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.

Earlier, six people were injured after a blast occurred at an explosive factory in Chhatisgarh’s Bemetara on Saturday morning. Fire and rescue teams reached the spot.
The injured were transported to hospitals in Raipur, with some individuals requiring specialized care at Mekahara and AIIMS facilities. The exact cause of the blast remains under investigation.(ANI)
